Well, I've started collecting comic hardcovers...

I just found a KICKASS deal on talesofwonder.com where I can get the first 3 Ultimate Spider-Man HCs for $40...

I have a lot of TPBs, and I don't like that they take up so much room in my comic boxes. On the other hand, I don't think that TPBs are "shelf worthy". I already have a few HCs (New-X-Men V.1, Daredevil V.1, and Marvels 10th Ann), and they really kick ass. They're generally cheaper than the two TPB's worth f stuff they have in them, and they have a bunch of extras.

Thusly, I'm going to start getting rid of most of my TPBs for worthy series, and replacing them with HCs that can go on the shelf...

Off the top of my Head:

-Daredevil: Yellow
-DKR
-Batman: Long Halloween
-Batman: Dark Victory
-Ultimate X-Men 1-4
-New X-Men 3 and 4
-Daredevil Vol. 4 and 5

and several other. I'm only really going to be replacing what I REALLY love (Ultimate Spider n X-Men, Ultimates, New X-Men, anything by Loeb, Daredevil etc.) Although, looking at it now, it still adds up to a bit.. [img]tongue.gif[/img]

I can give you a definite list with prices tomorrow. But, I'm really only looking to recoup replacement cost. Like, I could let the Ult. Spidey TPBs go for $45 DLVD, because that's what the HCs cost me...

I've been wanting to get the Marvel Masterworks Amazing Spider-Man hardcovers. I see they have them for $35 each. That's a pretty good price, but I can't see spending $300 right now on books with all the toys coming out this Summer and Fall.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I figure by selling my TPBs, I can recoup half to all of the cost of some of the HCs...I know if I bought the Masterworks, though, I wouldn't be able to appreciate them...
